Chick-lit author comes to town.

TOP-selling 'chick-lit' author and former financial journalist Sophie Kinsella will be in Sandwell later this month to talk about her work.

Sophie, whose real name is Madeleine Wickham, turned to literature in 1995, writing several 'chick-lit' novels, including the Confessions of a Shopaholic series.

Aged 40 and educated at New College, Oxford, she will be at West Bromwich Town Hall on January 27. The event starts at 7pm and tickets, ranging from pounds 1.50 to pounds 5, are available from the Central Library, on High Street, by phoning the hotline on 0121 569 4911, or by emailing information_service@sandwell.gov.uk
