Chevron launches GCC-spec engine oil at The Big 5.
Chevron has launched its latest premium diesel engine oil, Caltex Delo 400 MGX SAE 15W-40, which is specially designed to meet GCC and Middle East market requirements, at The Big 5 event in Dubai.
The oil is formulated to suit the high operating temperatures of the region while simultaneously suiting both new and older diesel engines and those using both high- and low-sulphur diesel fuel allowing customers to use just one heavy duty engine oil for all of their operational environments.
Caltex is represented in the Gulf by Chevron Al Khalij, which has been operating in the country for more than 35 years, and which markets a wide range of Caltex-Delo branded lubricants in the region.
"Chevron is showcasing a range of Caltex Delo products at the exhibition, including new diesel engine oils and coolants that provide premium protection, performance and bottom-line value for on- and off-road diesel-powered equipment," said Adriaan de Kok, area business manager, Chevron Al Khalij.
"It will both demonstrate high quality technical solutions for heavy-duty vehicles powered by low-sulfur diesel, and innovations that will reduce periodic maintenance fees and increase engine life."
Developed with ISOSYN Technology, the Caltex Delo 400 MGX SAE 15W-40 oil specifically provides excellent soot dispersancy, as well as wear protection and sludge control to guard against loss of engine life and help reduce oil consumption.
De Kok added: "Chevron in the Gulf and Middle East has been providing outstanding quality and meeting the demanding needs of diesel engine oils for over 80 years.
"Caltex Delo 400 MGX addresses the regional challenges, while meeting the latest American Petroleum Institute (API) specification as well as many OEM approvals. One of the benefits for customer is a synthetic-like performance at the cost of mineral products, reducing lubrication costs."
