Chester-le-Street.

The Plawsworth and Kimblesworth Ladies Club has received a grant of pounds 1,776 from the National Lotteries Awards for All Scheme for new activities and events.

Ian Corder and Gillian Cronin will tell the Camera Club about their travels with a backpack at 7.30pm on Monday in the library.

The Sacriston Everyman's Club will hear about Douglas Haig ( Butcher or Bungler from Jack Cavanagher at 7.30pm tonight in St John's Court.

Frank Worthington is guest speaker at the dinner held by the Pelton Fell RAOB Football Club on Friday in the Chirton Moor Country Club.

A grand fireworks display is being held from 7pm on Saturday at Chester-le-Street Cricket Ground.
