Chester to welcome Villa in pre-season; CONFERENCE NORTH.

Chester's warm-up campaign also includes a home match against Scottish Premier League outfit Kilmarnock on Saturday 21st July.

Chester's home friendly against Bangor City at the Exacta Stadium on Saturday 11th August will kick off at 2pm, and not 3pm as originally announced.

Young's side commence their build-up programme next Thursday when they travel to meet Buckley Town.

The game against the Huws Gray Alliance outfit will the first of 10 pre-season matches for the club.

"It is really hard work in pre season, but it needs to be that way early doors, because we have to ensure that every player experiences endurance work before we are ready to start the quicker stuff," manager Young said.

This afternoon's scheduled friendly match against Caernarfon Town Youth has been postponed, as the Oval pitch is waterlogged.
