Chesapeake buys Compass IRB.

Chesapeake IRB, a technology enabled independent institutional review board ("IRB") serving the clinical research industry, has acquired Compass IRB, located in Mesa, AZ, the company said.

The Compass IRB acquisition provides Chesapeake with additional AAHRPP accredited review capacity and a talented staff that broadens our geographic presence according to Jeff Wendel, President and CEO of Chesapeake IRB.

Chesapeake IRB, a Linden Capital Partners portfolio company, has been providing independent IRB services for major pharmaceutical companies, biotech and medical device companies, universities, individual researchers, academic medical centers, and hospital systems since 1993. Chesapeake IRB earned AAHRPP accreditation in 2004 and was accredited for a fourth time in June 2015.

Linden Capital Partners is Chicago-based private equity firm focused exclusively in the healthcare and life sciences industries.
