Cheryl shows Katie all about brains.

Byline: Shari Lows.low@dailyrecord.co.uk

CONFUSING quote of the week comes from that philosopher and woman of profound words, Katie Price, right, who shared her interest in all things cerebral, saying, "I'm fascinated by the human brain."

And yet she married Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler? | | I'M all for romantic spontaneity. I got engaged to my husband after knowing him for a week and I'd have happily married him the next day.

Twenty one years later he still hasn't managed to tunnel to freedom.

So I'm splashing out on a congratulatory toaster for Cheryl Cole and her new husband, Jean-Bernard Fernandez-Versini.

There's been much criticism of their whirlwind, three-month romance but I don't see the issue.

There are no children involved, his wealth rules out a gold-digging risk and she's surely learned what to avoid after being married to Ashley Cole's cheating, sexting, webcam-posing kecks.

But the thing that gives me real hope that it just might work? By marrying in secret, they proved the wedding was about their love and not the attention-seeking naffdom of the fameworshippers who marry in haste and cash the celebrity mag cheque at leisure.
