Cherie in cash row.

WATCHDOGS have warned it could shut a children's charity which used Cherie Blair as guest speaker at a gala dinner.

The Children's Cancer Institute Australia event in Melbourne raised pounds 80,450 but the charity received around pounds 6,780 - far less than the 60 per cent legally required.

The rest went on expenses and Mrs Blair's fee. She is said to have been paid pounds 106,000 for the entire countrywide tour.

Promoters said they had "nothing to hide".
