Specialist chemicals company Chemtura Corp (NYSE:CHMT) stated on Wednesday the pending completion of the next stage of its multi-stage capacity increase plan for its line of High Viscosity Synton 40 and Synton 100 Polyalphaolefin (PAO) products at its facility in Elmira, Ontario, Canada.

The company said the debottlenecking process equipment will be completely operational in the second quarter of 2011, with some of the increased capacity coming by the end of the first quarter.

According to Chemtura, Synton Polyalphaolefin (PAO) products are high-viscosity, highly saturated polymers used in automotive and industrial applications.

In addition, the company said it plans to raise production of its Naugalube 438L alkylated diphenylamine (ADPA) liquid antioxidant product in both its Latina, Italy and Elmira, Ontario, Canada facilities. The increased capacity will be available by the end of the first quarter of 2011.

These high-performance transportation and industrial lubricants are formulated using Naugalube 438L, where it provides excellent protection against oil degradation, added the company.
