Chem-Trend, Howell, MI, completed the purchase of the Perma-mold line of release agents from Brulin & Co., Indianapolis, IN. The acquisition, its third in six years, strengthens Chem-Trend's presence as a release agent supplier to the automotive industry and as a technology leader in release agents for rigid urethane insulation. Manufacturing, sales and service of the products will transfer to Chem-Trend's world headquarters in Howell. Brulin manufactures industrial cleaning and polishing preparations and Chem-Trend produces specialized plastic and rubber mold release agents and die casting lubricants. Chem-Trend is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Castrol.
