Chelsea clinch English league cup in 2-0 win over Spurs.

LONDON, March 1 (KUNA) -- A John Terry goal and an own goal from Tottenham Hotspur secured Chelsea's fifth Capital One league cup title at Wembley Stadium on Sunday. The former England defender latched onto a corner kick from inside the area to fire his side to a lead in the 44th minute after some good Tottenham possession. The Blues played deep in the second half in the aim of maintaining their lead thus impeding countless attempts by their opponents, whose defender Kyle Walker scored a second in his own goal after deflecting a counter-attack. Chelsea move joint second with Aston Villa in the all-time league cup holders while Liverpool remain record holders with eight titles. (end)
