I just finished Charles E. Petty's column about .45 ACP ammo "Good choices abound." I agree with him, having used the ammo he mentions. However, there is something your readers should be aware of before purchasing any of it.

Check with the range facilities where you intend to shoot. All the indoor and outdoor ranges in my area do not permit the use of Wolf ammo and the indoor ranges do not permit the use of CCI Blazer or hollowpoint ammo.

Shooting is expensive enough without having to buy ammo at the range if unable to use your own ammo. I learned the hard way after buying a case of Wolf ammo.
