Charles Albertson 'Chuck' Jones.
Voice and acting coach Chuck Jones, who worked with Jeff Daniels, Edie Falco, William Hurt and many other luminaries, died Aug. 14 of heart failure at his home in Kingston, N.Y. He was 65.
Bloomsburg, Pa., native became an actor, vocal coach and author of "Make Your Voice Heard."
A partial list of other actors who worked with him includes Ellen Barkin, Kathleen Chalfant, Holly Hunter, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Parker Posie, Keanu Reeves, Wesley Snipes, Marisa Tomei, Stanley Tucci and Steven Weber.
He also trained many well-known teachers in his techniques.
As an actor, he appeared in more than 40 productions between 1963 and 1974 in New York and London, including appearances on TV and in film.
He started teaching voice in 1975 and eventually instructed at such institutions as SUNY/Purchase, CalArts, North Carolina School of the Arts, and the NYU programs at Playwrights Horizons and Circle in the Square.
He also worked with Michael Moriarity's Potter's Field Company, Roy London in Los Angeles and a number of other acting studios.
He is survived by partner and former Limon dancer Ryland Jordan and two cousins.
