A SECOND man has been charged over an alleged burglary at the home of soccer star Duncan Ferguson, police said today.

Barry Dawson, 21, believed to be from the Ormskirk area of Lancashire, is accused of assaulting the Everton player at his converted barn in Rufford, Lancs in the early hours of Sunday.

He faces a further charge of burglary and will appear before Ormskirk Magistrates' Court today.

Dawson was interviewed and charged yesterday by detectives after leaving Ormskirk District Hospital where he had been receiving treatment.

Another man, Michael Pratt, 22, was granted bail when he appeared in court yesterday charged with burglary.
