Chapter spotlight Vandenberg space & missile chapter.

Vandenberg Space & Missile Chapter, Vandenberg Air Force Base, sits on California's beautiful Central Coast along the Pacific Ocean halfway between Santa Barbara and Pismo Beach. The Central Coast offers long, sandy beaches and rocky coastline vistas, wine country tours, and artisan villages. Vandenberg has about 50 members consisting of Air Force active duty personnel, civilians, and contractors. Although a small chapter, Vandenberg continues to grow in membership each quarter and maintains strongly committed members who are dedicated to continued training and educational growth.

Chapter leadership is devoted to its members by providing educational opportunities through lunch-and-learn meetings, hosting training courses like the Enhanced Defense Financial Management Training Course, and providing stress management awareness.

Not only is the chapter committed to its members but also to the local community as well. Members take pride in working hard to collect toys for the annual Toys for Tots program. Additionally, the chapter participates in the Adopt-a-Highway program, supporting a mile stretch starting outside the Vandenberg Air Force Base main gate and going north and east. Chapter members devoted an entire Saturday to support the "High-Way" clean-up day. They started the day by sipping on coffee and watching a safety video. At the end of the day, they reported that the experience was very rewarding and satisfying, tired feet and achy backs notwithstanding.

Vandenberg Space & Missile Chapter is filled with awesome members who stand proud to support both the chapter and their local community.
