THE cars might look different and some of the buildings in the background have been demolished and replaced.

But this week's pictures will prove that there's nothing new about Birmingham's roads being snarled up with traffic jams!

We've raided our archives to bring you some photographs from years gone by.

They provide a fascinating glimpse back at Brum's recent past.

There's probably comfort to be drawn from the notion that previous generations of motorists got just as frustrated as we do...
