Changes at Chopin.
Since August 1, passengers at Chopin Airport, Warsaw, have stopped checking in for their flights in the departures hall in the old zones A and B of Terminal A. All check-ins have now been relocated to the new part of the building.
Other facilities that have been moved include airline and tour operator offices, a post office, the left luggage office and the lost and found office.
The changes are part of the preparations to close zones A and B from the start of September. The old terminal will then be integrated with the new zones C, D and E, to form a single structure.
Following the refurbishment, the upgraded area will comprise more check-in desks and security screening points, as well as new baggage sorters. An underground corridor linking the arrivals hall with the airport's railway station will also be constructed.
The work is scheduled for completion in December 2014.
