Change of PMT.

Byline: Qamar Ahmed - Karachi

THE pole mounted transformer that provides electricity to my residence in Block 12, Gulistan Johar is a permanent nuisance as it trips at regular intervals. This leaves more than 167 houses serviced by this PMT for long hours without electricity. We have to cajole and coax the K-Electric authorities to fix the fault. In the last week on two occasions our locality was without electricity for more than 20 hours.

The reason for the fault is that this PMT named Ashraf Ali PMT 250kva, with DTS ID 528222, is not able to manage the load which is why it trips often. My consumer ID is 0400026916346 and I have lodged many complaints with K-Electric but the problem persists.

This issue has been put to KE earlier also but nothing was done to resolve the issue i.e. installing a bigger PMT to cater to the neighbouhood's electricity needs.
