RUNCORN pharmaceutical firm Protherics yesterday announced its deputy chairman, David Gration, was leaving the company.

Mr Gration was chairman of Proteus prior to the merger with Therapeutic Antibodies which formed Protherics.

The firm, which generates most of its revenue from snake anti-venom, also said, following its agm yesterday, that its financial year had started in line with expectations.

Protherics made a net loss of pounds 2.6m in the year to March 31, compared with a profit of pounds 1.3m the year before
