Chance to carry Fridge.

LEGENDARY charity runner Tony the Fridge is offering one lucky man the chance to share his heavy load.

Tony Phoenix-Morrison, of Hebburn, South Tyneside, is auctioning fridge-carrying duties for next month's male-only Miles for Men 5K to the highest bidder.

The 49-year-old will be running the event but, due to injury, he will be unable to carry his 42.5kg Smeg fridge. Instead, he is looking for someone to run alongside him donning the fridge.

The inaugural Newcastle edition will take place at Exhibition Park on November 3, with all money raised going to Cancer Research UK.

To bid for the chance to run with Tony's Smeg, email newcastle@milesformen.com or visit Tony the Fridge's Facebook page by Friday.
