Chance for amateurs to show talent for singing.

A SEARCH for a pop idol is moving to a Nuneaton wine bar with pounds 10,000 in prize money up for grabs.

Yates's has put up the cash and a lucrative music contract as part of its Wannabe - National Search for a Star contest.

Nuneaton's Yates's, in Stratford Street, will hold its heat on Thursday, February 6.

The challenge aims to uncover the best singing talent around, and give gifted singers a taste of the big time.

Branch manager Joanne Hardman said: "It will be a great night, and hopefully we can discover Nuneaton's most talented singers."
