Championship joy for trampoline trio.
THREE trampolinists from Charnwood Trampoline Club are celebrating medal success after representing the East Midlands at the recent NDP Trampoline, Tumbling and DMT Team Finals at Arena Birmingham.
Gaby Mcilvenna missed the Team Finals last year due to an arm injury and she battled her way to achieve fitness in time for the qualifying rounds to compete at the team finals this year. She had also moved up a level to L2 15+ Disability Cat 1 and won the gold medal.
Callum Mcilvenna, again representing the region for the first time at this competition also finished in 1st place in age 15+ L3 Disability Cat 1 Trampoline. is form scores contributing to him being 1.6 points ahead of the 2nd place competitor. Chloe W won silver in the L1 15+ Disability Cat 1 category, missing out on first place by just 0.1 of a point.
Head Coach Sarah Corrall said: "They have all exceeded expectations. They worked so hard and I am so proud of their achievements. I am looking forward to the next competition stage."
The trio now all go on to compete for the title of individual champion in their competition categories at the Ricoh Arena in Coventry on July 13/14.
