Champions League.

Bulgarian football club Litex Lovech beat FK Rudar Pljevlja 4-0 away in Montenegro on July 20 to progress to the third qualifying round of the Uefa Champions League. The Bulgarian champions qualified with an aggregate score of 5-0, having won the home leg of the tie 1-0. Wilfred Niflore opened the scoring in the 27th minute, with Nebojsa Jelenkovic doubling the advantage with a 25-metre screamer five minutes before the break.

Head coach Angel Chervenkov then made his three substitutions in the second half that proved crucial, with Florin Bratu scoring two goals, both times assisted by Georgi Milanov. Litex will now play the winner of the tie between Birkirkara FC of Malta or MSK Zilina from Slovakia, with the first leg on July 27-28 at home and the second leg a week later.
