Chamber voices concern. (Around the North).

The Thunder Bay Chamber of Commerce is again voicing concern about a decision made by Thunder Bay city council. This time it is the council's decision to recommend that $11 million in provincial Super Build money be spent on a dual water system for the city. The chamber wants money directed to waterfront development in an attempt to stimulate economic development.

The chamber has become increasingly vocal against city council decisions that effect economic development. Time has almost run out for Thunder Bay to be eligible for $15 million in Heritage Fund money for waterfront development. The chamber wants a plan in place that will allow the city to ask for an extension on meeting conditions for the granting of the money. The deadline for the city to meet the conditions is the end of March.
