Chamber announces 12th annual Community Leadership class.

The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce announces the 19 class members of the 12th annual Community Leadership Wenatchee Valley.

The students are: Anne Hess (Frontier Communications); Blake Baldwin (GTC Technical Support); Brenda Rinehart (Confluence Health); Brian Etzkorn (Moss Adams); Carli Schiffner (Wenatchee Valley College); Carrie Moomaw (Chelan Douglas Developmental Disabilities); Doug Russell (Retired); Duane Ownbey (VisiCore); Eric Smith (Erlandsen); Evan Church (Cashmere Valley Bank); Glenn Adams (Confluence Health); James Fosse (RiverCom); Jennifer Frese (Sit Means Sit Dog Training); Jill Leonard (Wenatchee Valley Humane Society); JoAnne Thielen (US Bank); Kristi Karpenko (Children's Home Society); Pete Lolos (Town Toyota Center); Ronald Ivaniek (Ness & Ivanick); and Steve Batdorf (GTC Technical Support).

Community Leadership Wenatchee Valley is a 9-month commitment to personal growth, professional development, and community awareness.

Participants meet one full Friday a month and cover the following local topics:local government, communication and the media, agriculture, health care, education, public safety, and economic development.

The class attended a kick-off retreat Sept. 27 at Camp Zanika.
