Chamber CEO Bracken recognized for work on TTF legislation.

The New Jersey League of Municipalities on Thursday awarded Tom Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, its Distinguished Public Service Award.The New Jersey League of Municipalities on Thursday awarded Tom Bracken, president and CEO of the New Jersey Chamber of Commerce, its Distinguished Public Service Award.

Bracken was head of the Forward New Coalition that was key in crafting legislation to replenish the statewide Transportation Trust Fund after it ran out of money in 2016.

The $12 billion fund finances town and county roadway and transportation projects, and is funded by a 26.9-cent-per-gallon tax on gasoline.
