Chairman Senate summons Secretary Defence Production.

ISLAMABAD -- Chairman Senate Mian Raza Rabbani Thursday summoned Secretary Defence Production to appear before the Privilege Committee for not informing the Upper House of the Parliament.

When the Chair asked Minister for Climate Change Zahid Hamid either he would reply to the calling attention notice, the minister said that Minister for Defence Production was on leave and he has no information about it.

The Chair issued notice to Secretary Defence to appear before the Privilege Committee and explain his position.

The calling attention notice was moved by PPP's Senator Sehar Kamran about dropping of proposed deal of sale of JF-17 Thunder aircrafts by Pakistan to Sri Lanka due to negative propaganda and Influence by the government of India.
