Cerveceria Modelo extends Corona contract

Carlos Alvarez, president, Gambrinus Importing Co., importer of Corona beer, announced the long-term renewal of Gambrinus' contract with Cerveceria Modelo, brewer of Corona.

"This is a real milestone, since Modelo is recognized as a worldclass Mexican industrial, as sophisticated and as demanding as they come," Alvarez said. "This renewal of our contract is a vote of confidence for our distributors as well as for the people who make up the Gambrinus team."

The long-term extension of Gambrinus' contract covers four Modelo brands, including Corona Extra, Corona Light, Modelo Especial and Negra Modelo. Alvarez added that Gambrinus Importing Co. imports these products into Texas, 24 eastern states, and the District of Columbia.
