Central monitoring system.

ADT of Boca Raton, Florida, has created an emergency call system with a central monitoring station especially for use in senior care facilities. Senior-WATCH centralizes all existing security devices, such as smoke detectors, access control, and burglar alarms, and it also can record and store medical history information for residents. A resident can pull a call cord in the bathroom or bedroom when-ever assistance is needed and it will signal an attendant for quick response. In addition, after each resident checks in each morning, the system automatically reports on those who have not checked in. The system keeps records of staff interaction with residents, which helps management monitor employee performance and provides evidence in disputes about the amount of care provided.
