The central bank of Myanmar is to use cloud technology to manage its transactions.

The apex bank said that it was planning to set up cloud-based systems in its Yangon and Nay Pyi Taw offices. The experiences of Japanese companies will be sought when setting up the facilities. It is expected that the work will be completed by the end of the year.

An official with the apex bank said, 'Hardware installation is complete at the Yangon office. It is still being carried out at the Nay Pyi Taw office. Only after the installation at Nay Pyi Taw, the system will be running as everything must be connected. Installation in Nay Pyi Taw will complete by the end of this year.'
