Celtic Sojourn.

Brian O'Donovan is sojourning again.

"WGBH presents A Christmas Celtic Sojourn with Brian O'Donovan'' returns to The Hanover Theatre for the Performing Arts, 2 Southbridge St., Worcester, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 17 with musicians, dancers, poetry and storytelling.

O'Donovan, originally from Clonakilty in West Cork, Ireland, a town of about 3,000 people, is the host of Boston radio station WGBH's popular weekly music program "A Celtic Sojourn.'' The broadcast explores traditional and contemporary music from around the Celtic world. The connections O'Donovan has made with the Celtic music community have enabled him to put together "A Christmas Celtic Sojourn'' as an annual seasonal touring show. O'Donovan says his role in the show is not that of a narrator "per se'' but more "man of the house, master of ceremonies or congenial host.''

Tickets are $46, $52 and $58. (877) 571-7469; www.thehanovertheatre.org (Richard Duckett)
