Cellar fall 'accident'.

A PENSIONER died after falling down steep concrete stairs at her home.

Miriam Rashed, 65, was found unconscious on her back at the bottom of 11 steps that led to the cellar kitchen of her Brighouse home on April 15.

She had severe head injuries, including a fractured skull, cerebral lacerations and intercranial haemorrhaging.

Mrs Rashed, a retired wire worker, was put on life support but died on April 18, a day after life support machines were turned off when it became clear her head injuries were not survivable.

Huddersfield Coroner Mr Richard Whittaker recorded a verdict of accidental death.
