Celesio's CEO to leave Haniel management board.

18 December 2009 - German conglomerate Franz Haniel & Cie GmbH said on Friday that Fritz Oesterle would leave its management board at the end of the year.

Oesterle is CEO of drug distributor Celesio AG (ETR: CLS), which is part of Haniel.

Hence, there are no more representatives of Haniel's unit companies on its management board, Haniel's supervisory board head, Franz Haniel, said.

In September, Haniel released Eckhard Cordes from its management board. Cordes is CEO of retailer Metro, also part of the Haniel group. He was replaced by Juergen Kluge who will assume his position on 1 January 2010.
