Celebs style it up at champagne blowout.

MANCHESTER celebs and the city's fashion elite were out in force for the VIP launch of the venue billed as the "UK's first champagne blowout bar".

The Real Housewives of Cheshire star Dawn Ward and her daughters Taylor and Darby were among the first to try out the new Blowout Kate London which has launched in Spinningfields next to the hip 20 Stories restaurant and cocktail bar on Byrom Street.

Glam beauty entrepreneur Dawn had flashbulbs popping in a black and white striped mini dress and metallic heels alongside singer Darby, looking chic in a red caped blazer dress, and model Taylor wowed in an orange mini dress.

Dawn's co-star Nermina Pieters-Mekic, model Danielle Lloyd, Love Island's Kate Salmon and fashionista Jsky were also treated to a preview of the bar along with model sisters Ellie and Daisey O'Donnell, who are the faces of Blowout Kate London.

Welcomed by owner Katie Nixon, guests enjoyed cocktails and canapes to the soundtrack of live acoustic singer Clare Sophia with DJ Georgie K on the decks.

The former creative director for Portobello fashion market, 'blowdry addict' Katie fell in love with the idea of 'blowout bars' during a trip to America and she aims to roll out the concept throughout the north west.

Customers can sit at the bar and enjoy a glass of bubbles while they browse through a look book with five signature styles, all named after champagne cocktails - and it got the firm thumbs-up from Liverpudlian Danielle who told us she'll definitely be booking in whenever she comes to Manchester.

The Blowout bar transforms the usual hair styling experience - getting rid of salon chair mirrors and replacing them with a 'big reveal' at the end.

Businesswoman Katie, 27, spent a year living in New York, birthplace of the "blowout", to research the idea and a further two years finding the perfect location to launch her flagship store in Manchester.

She said: "I've always had a passion for blow drys so I knew I wanted to open a blowout bar, then the champagne element was my own personal twist on it.

"I love being able to go and have that affordable luxury whether it's before a business meeting or when you're getting ready for a night out.

"I thought it would be a cool idea to bring together the feel of a champagne bar, where you can sit at the bar and have a drink while you're being styled," added Katie.

"There's no mirror in front of you to distract you, so you'll have your champagne and then when the stylist has finished they will spin you round and you'll be able to see the result in a mirror behind you.

"I know it's different to what people are used to, but I'm confident I've employed the best stylists so I want every client to put their trust in us and just be superwowed by what we've done."
