Celebrating their blue spinel anniversary.
Kenneth and Constance Moore marked their blue spinel anniversary on April 5. The couple were married at Rashcliffe Church in 1947 after serving in the Second World War.
Kenneth, 89, was a corporal in the Royal Signals and served in India and Burma. Constance, 86, was in the Women's RAF from 1944 to 1947.
The couple met at a dance at Cambridge Road Baths. After marrying, they settled in Lowerhouses and had two children, Wendy, now 63, and Alan, 60.
The couple, who have lived in Meltham since 1983, have three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
The family celebrated their anniversary with dinner at Fenay Bridge Hotel.
Kenneth said: "She's a very loving wife and she's looked after me all these years and been a good mother to our children."
