Cecon Technology Bought By SandMold Systems, Inc.

Cecon Technology, a casting equipment controls manufacturer in Cleveland, Ohio, has been bought by SandMold Systems, Inc., Newaygo, Michigan.

In recent years, high-technology trends in the metalcasting industry have produced a much larger and important demand upon controls expertise than on mechanical aspects of systems. This demand led SandMold to acquire Cecon, whose employees have worked with foundry equipment suppliers and with foundries directly.

Cecon's staff has expertise in computer and PLC programming, motion control, hydraulic and pneumatic control, panel building and energy management systems.

The company's professional status includes registered engineers and recognition by Allen-Bradley as a systems integrator.
