Cause of humiliation is not so far away; Views of Wales 13/05/15.

SIR - I knew that Ed Miliband would prove to be a loser. When elected as the leader of the Labour Party he had the wholehearted endorsement of Lord Kinnock of Bedwellty and the Western Mail's very own Rhodri Morgan.

Can I remind readers of Mr Morgan's column of what he said about the implementation of the Universal Credit programme? He stated in no uncertain terms that after the next general election this job would be a "poisoned chalice" for whoever ended up taking on the task. One thing is certain, he went on to say, it wouldn't be Iain Duncan Smith. (Western Mail: November 9, 2013) Have a guess who the new Secretary of State for Social Security is? Iain Duncan Smith.

The Labour Party is conducting an inquest as to why they were humiliated at the general election. With extreme left-wingers like Rhodri Morgan still peddling their Marxist nonsense while ensconced in their middle-class enclaves, I think Labour might find the answer.
