Cattle rustles up PS840 with charity sale.
Byline: CHRIS KILPATRICK
A FARMER proved outstanding in his field with a moo-ving gesture to raise cash for stricken kids.
Michael McElhinney auctioned off one of his prized cattle for the NSPCC.
And the un-herd of act pulled in PS840.
The big-hearted Co Derry man said: "I recently attended the Diamond and Pearl Gala Ball, hosted by SPAR and the Henderson Group in aid of the NSPCC's work here in Northern Ireland, and I was blown away by the work that is done to help children in our local communities.
"After the raffle and all the fundraising activity on the night, I wanted to contribute more, so I thought, why not auction off one of my herd? "I'm absolutely delighted we got over PS840 for her, and all of that will go to the charity."
