She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 56 years, Frederick J. Malpass in 1999, and by her six siblings.
She leaves her six children, Janice A. Graves of Fitchburg, Dennis F. Malpass and his wife, Donna, of Auburn, Sheila Massey and her companion, John Freely, of Fiskdale, Sharon Grassel and her husband, Thomas, of Auburn, Frederick J. Malpass Jr. and his wife, Sandra, of Sterling, and Wayne Malpass and his wife, Deborah, of Auburn, with whom she lived; 13 grandchildren, Sondra Sokolowski, Susan Worobey, Brian Malpass, Ashley, Amanda and Thomas Massey, Heidi Malpass, Christopher Malpass, Kimberly, Andrew, Tamari, Zachary and Alysia Malpass; and her 12 great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews.
She was born in Worcester, a daughter of the late William E. and Agnes M. (Campbell), and had lived in Auburn for 69 years.Mrs. Malpass worked at home raising her family, while helping in the family business of renting boats and selling bait for many years. She later worked in the Auburn school's cafeteria program. In her retirement, she volunteered at the Auburn Senior Center, where she had many friends.
Her funeral was held on Tuesday, Aug. 23, with family gathering at Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St., Auburn, followed by a funeral Mass celebrated in Saint Joseph's Church, 189 Oxford St. North, Auburn.
