Cathedral concert; In Brief.

A DECORATED organ student from the Royal Academy of Music is set to visit Coventry Cathedral as part of its summer series of lunchtime concerts.

Alexander Binns, who has played at Westminster Abbey and Windsor Castle, will perform pieces by Johann Sebastian Bach, Petr Eben and Charles-Marie Widor today (July 7) at 1pm.

He has won a number of prizes whilst studying at the Royal Academy, including the Eric iman Prize, the Gwen and Eric Windo Organ Award, the Stephen Bicknell Award and the Paton Award.

e summer programme of concerts at the cathedral stretches throughout the summer months until the "nal concert on September 29.
