Catalogues we do not want.

I AM writing to inquire whether anything can be done about the amount of junk mail we get these days?

Yesterday I received seven catalogues, all of these, unasked for, and they have to be thrown away.

Today, I had an IKEA catalogue put through my door. It is quite large and unwieldy and is not required. It, too will be thrown away.

Talk about a complete waste of paper!

These firms should be stopped from issuing catalogues ad lib to all and sundry.

The catalogues put people's backs up and rather than ordering various things, housewives have to throw the catalogues away which causes extra work and having to pack the things up.

Surely this mass of advertising ought to be stopped, as the constant mass of material we get gets on the nerves to say the least.
