Cash for green ideas.

POWER generator E.ON is offering grants of up to pounds 30,000 for green community projects.

Any projects that aim to cut down carbon emissions can apply for the funding.

These could include cavity or roof insulation to prevent heat loss, the installation of solar panels or wind turbines.

The deadline for the first batch of applications is May 11. Applications will be reviewed again on August 24 and December 21.
