Cash box is stolen.

A PAY per view cash box was stolen during a burglary in South Tyneside. It happened between 1.45pm and 2pm, on Friday, August 8, at an address on Wilfred Street, in Bolden Colliery.

Offenders gained entry to the address before stealing a pay per view cash box from inside.

Inquiries into the burglary are ongoing and police are keen to speak to any witnesses or who may have spotted people acting suspiciously around the address.

A Northumbria Police spokesperson said: "Householders should always ensure their doors are locked, even when inside the property as often thieves will try their luck in the hope they have been left unlocked."

Anyone with information should ring 101, extension 69191, quoting log number 787 08/08/14, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
