Case against suspects in acid attack.

Quetta -- Police on Sunday lodged a case against unidentified accused over charges of throwing acid on two women in the city's Railway Housing Society area. A mother and her 23-year-old daughter had received burn injuries when unidentified culprits, riding a motorcycle, sprayed acid on them as they were on their way home after conducting a tuition session on Friday evening.

'A case has been registered on the complaint of the victim [the mother] against unknown suspects,' said police official Mirwais Khan.

Both the victims have been admitted to Bolan Medical Complex hospital's burn ward for medical treatment. A doctor treating the injured said that the acid has burnt the arm, face, and chest of the daughter, whereas, the mother's face was also damaged as a result of the acid attack.
