Cartoon event at library.

AN artist is returning to a Gateshead library for a special workshop.

Local cartoonist Suzy Varty is returning to hold another "beginner's cartooning" at Low Fell Library on Thursday, June 25, between 7pm and 8.30pm.

The workshop, which is the first in a series of Thursday evening talks and events, will help people learn to draw cartoon characters quickly and simply, and how to show emotion, body language and gesture.

Suzy's second Workshop is planned for Thursday, July 23.

Chris Blue, vice-chair of the volunteer group who run the library, said: "Following the huge success of Suzy's visit and the interest which it generated, we are thrilled to have her back."
