Carl is still full of confidence; sport ROUND-UP.

BOXING: Carl Froch insists he remains as confident as ever ahead of today's WBC super-middleweight title clash with Arthur Abraham despite heading into the fight on the back of his first defeat.

The Nottingham fighter faces Abraham in Helsinki to contest the vacant WBC belt he lost via unanimous decision to Mikkel Kessler in Denmark this year.

This fight, like that one, is part of the Super Six tournament with semi-final places on the line. More important for Froch is the chance to reclaim the title.

"I go into every fight to win," he said. "If that means throwing bombs and breaking ribs then, yes, I'll do everything I can to win my belt back."

Froch felt the Kessler loss was a 'hometown decision' in Herning, Denmark in April and is happy meeting Abraham on neutral turf at the Hartwall Arena in Helsinki, Finland.

"I come into the fight with self belief and confidence," he added. "I plan to come into the ring and win this belt back.

"I don't think it should have ever been taken away in the first place. I predict I'm going to win by any means necessary on Saturday night."
