Carl Zeiss Sports Optics names marketing VP, director.

Todd W. Pearson is the new vice president of sales and marketing at Carl Zeiss Sports Optics. Pearson will assume responsibility for all sales and marketing functions for Carl Zeiss Sports Optics in the United States.

Pearson brings more than 20 years of sales and marketing experience to his role at Carl Zeiss. Prior to joining the Zeiss team, he spent eight years with Remington Arms Co., most recently as director of sales. Prior to that, he served as divisional manager of Beretta USA, and as territory account manager for Federal Cartridge Co.

"Todd's deep knowledge of the industry, vast network of contacts and extensive retail experience will help us dramatically change the company's position and recognition within the industry," said Michael A. Jensen, company president.

Also, Carl Zeiss Sports Optics has promoted Robert J. Kaleta to director of communications and technical operations.

Formerly technical services manager and hunting product specialist for Zeiss, Kaleta will manage the newly expanded Zeiss communications team, while continuing in his roles of product development and technical support for North America, especially within the hunting and shooting market segments.

Shannon Jackson of Shannon Jackson Public Relations will continue to serve as the primary Zeiss contact for writers in the hunting and shooting channels.
