Carl Fischer, 65 Bleecker Street, New York, NY 10012; (212) 777-0900; www.carlfischer.com. More String Town Tunes: Score and Teacher's Guide.

Carl Fischer has introduced new products to their catalogue: More String Town Tunes by Doris Gazda; Fiddling Fingers by Janet Farrar-Royce, Doris Gazda, Jay Ungar and Molly Mason; and Progressive Duets for Clarinet, Flute, Horn in F, Trombone, Trumpet and Saxophone.

More String Town Tunes is a collection of favorite folk melodies, patriotic songs, classical themes and original tunes for all string instruments. The music places emphasis upon bowing techniques, tone, intonation and musicianship. A performance/play-along CD is available with the Score and Teacher's Guide or separately as a free MP3 download at www.carlfischer.com.

Fiddling Fingers presents a way to enrich string classes with fiddle music in six simple lessons that teach students the basic elements of fiddling. Each piece is performed at a "Learning Speed" and then at a "Practice Speed" to encourage students to learn by listening and playing by ear. This series of books can teach students to play basic fiddling techniques, such as shuffles, slides and drones, which can be applied to all fiddling music.

Progressive Duets, Volume I brings together new arrangements from the classical repertoire along with established duets and some new compositions that will provide hours of musical enjoyment. Musical markings are attached to both parts and the size of the music is large for reading convenience.
