Carl Accettura senior director, product & supply Chain, Sunovion pharmaceuticals.
Carl Accettura is a veteran of FDA-regulated operations, with 25 years of diversified global experience in both large and small pharmaceutical firms. During the past two years, he has prepared for commercialization of a schizophrenia drug for Dainippon Sumitomo Pharma America (now Sunovion). For the previous four years, Carl prepared Kyowa Pharmaceuticals for commercialization of a novel therapy for Parkinsons Disease while running his own Rx commercialization services firm.
Mr. Accettura founded Global Pharma Consulting LLC in 2004 to provide commercialization expertise to start-up pharmaceutical and medical product firms. From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Accettura was a corporate officer and vice president of operations at Anesta Pharmaceutical, responsible for worldwide clinical & commercial manufacturing, tech transfer, validation, CMC filings and regulatory inspection and approval by MHRA and FDA.
Previously, he served as vice president, Worldwide Supply Chain Management, at Bristol-Myers Squibb ConvaTec, and as vice president, Materials Management, Hoffman-La Roche. His background also includes director-level positions at Pfizer in new product planning, strategic planning and pharmaceutical systems. He began his career as a Merck Design Engineer.
