CareerEngine, Inc. Creates Career Search Section On 'Jewish Community Online' Site.

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 4, 1999--

Leading E-Recruiting Network Offers Job Search and

Career Consulting Services on Jewish Internet Site

CareerEngine, Inc. (a subsidiary of Helmstar Group, Inc., AMEX: HLM) today announced that it has created a career search section for Jewish Community Online, one of the most established and comprehensive Jewish Internet sites. In addition to a dedicated job site on Jewish Community Online (www.jewish.com; AOL Keyword: JEWISH; Compuserve Go: JEWISH), users have a direct link to CareerEngine's leading network of 20 category specific career sites.

Aligning with Jewish Community Online allows CareerEngine to broaden its audience base and provide tailored career-related services -- job searches, career counseling, professional development and confidential resume hosting -- for this dynamic population segment.

"Our partnership with Jewish Community Online reflects CareerEngine's ongoing efforts to serve a wide diversity of Internet users," said Tom Ferrara, President and CEO of CareerEngine. "Our co-branding efforts continue to expand CareerEngine's reach by providing increased access through our partners' websites."

The new partnership is the latest milestone for CareerEngine, which last month built a similar career section for 1 Nation Online, a multi-lingual website providing services in Chinese, Spanish and English. In addition, CareerEngine recently launched a multi-million dollar print, online and radio advertising campaign with Fulgent New Media, Inc., whose president and CEO was formerly the director of marketing and advertising at Monster.com.

"Adding a career recruitment section to our selection of services allows Jewish Community Online to remain responsive to its users by providing a widely-requested service," said Marc S. Klein, publisher of Jewish Community Online. "CareerEngine's category specific sites and virtual career communities provide the best tools for focused career search and professional development."
