Car yob aged 84.

Byline: IAN SPARKS

POLICE have arrested vandals alleged to have wrecked dozens of cars - a couple aged 84 and 76.

Pensioners Charles and Helene Lagarde, who had their golden wedding anniversary last year, have been charged with using nails protruding from the ends of wine bottle corks to scratch the cars.

The couple gouged cars stopping their "wheelie" shopping trolley from getting to their pounds 120,000 house in Orleans, central France, it is alleged.

They have been released on bail and will appear in court next month charged with damage to property.
